Christia Angelidou Architects is a multi–disciplinary studio that carries a signature aesthetic synonymous with relaxed and contemporary luxury. Blending natural materials, textures and patterns to create refined, curated spaces.

Christia Angelidou Architects was founded in 2021 by Christia Angelidou – a Cypriot-based design studio encompassing the worlds of architecture, interiors, landscape, and the decorative arts. The multi-disciplinary studio carries a signature aesthetic synonymous with relaxed, contemporary luxury.

Blending natural materials, textures and patterns to create refined, curated spaces. The designs are decidedly contemporary and inspired, yet honour the past with a polished, timeless energy. The combination of materials and of different design languages, is what creates tension and drama in the projects.
Many of the projects are characterized by a contrast between simple and clean outward masses, and complex and rich internal sections. In doing so, the studio manages to produce a unique and powerful experience. These influences combined with Christia’s knack for whimsy and storytelling established the studio’s aesthetic approach. The studio is planning projects on various scales.

From designing interiors of bars, show rooms and living spaces through planning and designing private homes, to large residential and office buildings. From the core of the idea, project’s language evolves. Overall thinking at all levels of planning gives a great deal of depth to the structures, with an emphasis on the context and integration of the structure into the urban fabric.

Christia Angelidou is an architect and designer born and raised in the minuscule city of Nicosia, Cyprus. Having obtained her first degree in Architecture from the University of Manchester (UK), she then completed her masters at the Bartlett School of Architecture at UCL in London with a Distinction and was awarded with the Bartlett School of Architecture Medal for exceptional performance.

Prior to returning to Cyprus, she worked for the innovative Crab Studio established by Sir Peter Cook and Gavin Robotham, as well as for the architects/planners Farrells in London. In 2017-2021, she created an architecture practice in partnership with Maria Papanicolaou, namely ‘Angelidou & Papanicolaou Architects’. She then progressed to create her own architectural studio, namely ‘Christia Angelidou Architects’, based in Nicosia, Cyprus.
